American Eagle Outfitters (AEOS) is expected to report fourth-quarter earnings of 72 cents a share, according to analysts polled by Thomson First Call.

Chico's FAS Inc. (CHS) is seen posting fourth-quarter 25 cents a share

Fluor Corp.'s (FLR) fourth-quarter per-share profit is expected to be 70 cents.

Hovnanian Enterprises Inc. (HOV) is expected to post earnings of $1.24 a share in its fiscal first quarter .

Joy Global Inc. (JOYG) is seen reporting fiscal first-quarter earnings of 39 cents a share.

Liz Claiborne Inc.'s (LIZ) fourth-quarter results are expected to show a per-share profit of 72 cents.

Medco Health Solutions Inc. (MHS) is expected to report a fourth-quarter profit of 61 cents a share.

Men's Wearhouse Inc. (MW) is seen posting earnings of 53 cents a share in its fourth quarter.

Saks Inc.'s (SKS) fourth-quarter profit is expected to be 58 cents a share.

Washington Post Co. (WPO) is expected to post a fourth-quarter per-share profit of $8.75.

Applied Signal Technology Inc. (APSG) reported fiscal first-quarter net earnings of $1.31 million, or 11 cents a share, compared with $2.03 million, or 17 cents a share, during the year-ago period. The Sunnyvale, Calif.-based provider of digital signal processing products, systems and services posted revenue of $33.6 million vs. $30.1 million. Analysts surveyed by Thomson First Call had forecast first-quarter earnings of 17 cents a share on revenue of $40 million.

CBS Corp. (CBS) said it is suing Howard Stern for breach of contract, alleging that the popular radio host "misappropriated" millions of dollars of CBS Radio airtime by promoting his defection to Sirius Satellite Radio (SIRI) . See full story.

Cogent Systems (COGT) reported fourth-quarter net earnings of $20.7 million, or 22 cents a share, up from $9.91 million, or 11 cents a share, in the year-ago period. Revenue at the South Pasadena, Calif.-based provider of fingerprint biometric solutions rose 46% to $46.2 million from $31.8 million. Analysts polled by Thomson First Call had forecast earnings of 20 cents a share.

Deckers Outdoor Corp. (DECK) said fourth-quarter net income was $12.1 million, or 94 cents a share, compared with $9.25 million, or 72 cents a share, during the same period last year. Analysts polled by Thomson First Call had expected per-share income of 66 cents. The Goleta, Calif. based footwear company said quarterly revenue was $91 million, compared with $74.2 million last year. Analysts were looking for revenue of $78 million.

Emdeon Corp. (HLTH) reported fourth-quarter net earnings of $32.9 million, or 9 cents a share, up 67% from $19.7 million, or 6 cents a share, in the year-ago period. Earnings before restructuring, interest, taxes, non-cash and other items was $52.3 million, or 15 cents a share, compared with $47.4 million, 14 cents a share, last year. Revenue at the Elmwood Park, N.J.-based healthcare information provider rose to $327.2 million from $307.6 million a year ago. Analysts polled by Thomson First Call had forecast revenue of $326 million.

HouseValues Inc. (SOLD) reported net earnings of $4 million, or 15 cents a share, up from $1.9 million, or 8 cents a share, a year ago. Revenue rose to $25.2 million from $14.4 million a year ago. Analysts surveyed by Thomson First Call were expecting the company to post per-share earnings of 14 cents a share on revenue of $29 million.

Invitrogen Corp. (IVGN) reported fourth-quarter earnings rose 63%, due largely to acquisitions and higher demand. See full story.

Open Solutions Inc. (OPEN) reported fourth-quarter net earnings of $7.91 million, or 34 cents a share, down 46% from $14.5 million, or 70 cents a share, in the year-ago period. On a pro forma basis, which assumes the same 2005 effective tax rate for the year-ago period, earnings came in at 34 cents a share compared with 19 cents a share last year. Revenue at the Glastonbury, Conn.-based company rose 66% to $59.7 million from $36.1 million. Analysts polled by Thomson First call had forecast revenue of $53.8 million.

Pacific Sunwear of California (PSUN) reported a 15% jump in its quarterly profit, but the retailer gave a guarded view on the current quarter's outlook. See full story.

Papa John's International Inc. (PZZA) after the closing bell reported fourth-quarter net earnings of $14.4 million, or 42 cents a share, compared with $9.45 million, or 28 cents a share, during the year-ago period. Revenue at the Louisville, Ky.-based restaurant chain rose to $248.4 million from $243.4 million a year ago. Papa John's said its domestic system-wide same-store sales increased by 6.4% during the quarter, and by 4.6% in February.

Plato Learning Inc. (TUTR) reported a fiscal first-quarter net loss of $3.2 million, or 14 cents a share, vs. a net loss of $10.5 million, or 46 cents a share, in the year-ago period. Revenue at the Minneapolis-based provider of computer-based and e-learning instruction fell to $23.5 million from $25.5 million, while gross margin rose to 57.4% from 46.7%. Analysts surveyed by Thomson First Call had forecast revenue of $24 million.

Terabeam Inc. (TRBM) , a San Jose, Calif.-based developer and supplier of broadband wireless solutions, posted fourth-quarter earnings of $811,000, or 4 cents a share, compared with a profit of $2.31 million, or 10 cents a share, in the same quarter a year ago. Revenue came in at $27.07 million vs. $5.78 million.
