Teenagers in the Spanish region of Extremadura are being taught the "art" of masturbation, New York’s Daily News reported.
The workshops feature instructions on self-pleasuring, and pamphlets on self-respect and contraception are being handed out, according to a report in The Guardian.The socialist government’s aim is to aid teens with "sexual self-exploration and the discovery of self-pleasure." The government hopes to remove the "mystique" that surrounds sex.
"The campaign is simple, clear, natural and easily understood by the people it is aimed at, who are aged between 14 and 17," said Laura Garrido, a youth council president in Extremadura.
