WASHINGTON – How did Judge Sonia Sotomayor spend her first weekend as a Supreme Court nominee?
According to the New York Times Weddings/Celebrations section Sotomayor officiated at the wedding of former clerk, bride Jessica Rose Hertz.
Hertz clerked for Sotomayor in 2007 and 2008, and the judge returned the favor by conducting the ceremony for Hertz and groom Christopher Angell at the Metropolitan Club in New York on Saturday.
The former judge and clerk may have plenty of additional opportunities to reconnect if Sotomayor is confirmed. The bride has taken a job with the Office of Management and Budget in Washington, DC.
