The former prime minister of Pakistan's older daughter has written a rap song about the assassination of her mother, expressing anguish over her death, Reuters reported.

Benazir Bhutto's daughter, Bakhtawar, 18, wrote and sings "I Would Take the Pain Away." A five-minute video of the former prime minister has been broadcast on state-run Pakistani television and posted to YouTube, Reuters reports.

"My mother was murdered. I don't even comprehend. Was it worth dying for? I'm walking through screened doors," Bakhtawar sings in English on the track. "No comfort or ease. I'm begging you please God bless the deceased."

Information Minister Sherry Rehman, for years an aide to Bhutto, called the song "a tribute of a grieving daughter to her iconic and loving mother," Reuters reported.

Bhutto, 54, was assassinated in an attack in December 2007.
