A school bus carrying a high school volleyball team overturned Tuesday night, and all 31 people aboard were taken to hospitals.

The bus was carrying students from Viburnum High School in southeast Missouri to nearby Lesterville. A woman answering phones at Viburnum High School said she did not have information about the injuries.

A spokesman for the Missouri State Highway Patrol did not return phone calls seeking comment, and the Reynolds County Sheriff's Department referred calls to the Highway Patrol.

KSDK-TV in St. Louis reported 10 students were flown by medical helicopters to hospitals, but none of the injuries were believed to be life-threatening.

The bus was the only vehicle involved in the accident. The cause of the wreck was not immediately known.
