Scary Skinny Lindsay Lohan Loses Cool a NYC Hotel and Is Ronson Threatening a Tell-All Book?
One would think that Lindsay Lohan’s suddenly skeletal appearance wouldn’t be anything too out-of-the-ordinary for New York Fashion Week, but instead the itty bitty (very boney) babe has had heads turning from all directions. According to sources very close to the 22-year-old, Linds has brought back a multitude of bad behaviors from her past and her late-night lifestyle alongside D.J. Samantha Ronson has been nothing short of detrimental.
"Now Sam and Lindsay are being marketed as the D.J./hosting couple and are earning good money off it, but that means Lindsay is going out more and more and hanging around a bad crowd," an insider told Tarts. "It doesn’t take brain surgery to figure out how’s she lost weight so fast …"
We’re told hard-partying Lindsay is pretty much surviving off Red Bull, coffee and cigarettes, is hardly sleeping and making strange phone-calls at odd hours of the night. All that combined with the stress of her rocky relationship with Ronson is clearly taking its toll in a dangerous way.
"Looking at photos of Lindsay just over last month, there is obviously not only an obvious loss of weight but also a loss of muscle mass. A lack of muscle could lead to rapid weight gains in the long-term and a vicious cycle of yo-yo dieting," commented Fred DeVito, Nutrition/Fitness Expert and Founder of Exhale Spa’s Core Fusion.
Pop Tarts spies also spotted a super-distressed Miss Lohan in the lobby of NYC’s Bowery Hotel in the wee hours of Sunday morning, the night after she was engaged in yet another screaming match with Ronson. The hysterically sobbing actress had her platform shoes in her hand as she blindly ran outside into the cold. We’re told Linds seemed so messy and upset that a few concerned guests followed her out for fear she could "do something stupid" but were caught in the paparazzi crush on the street. In an interview with Us magazine on Monday, Lindsay denied that there were any problems with regards to her Ronson romance and said the weight loss was a result of her hectic life and totally unintentional.
"That is hard to believe in this case because she looks very thin in her recent photos," said Kenneth Best, D.C. of FBE Holistic Health and Fitness Center in West Hollywood. "She has possibly lost a lot of weight from nerves, and lack of sleep can put a person on overdrive where their body doesn’t have sufficient time rebuild and rejuvenate itself. The body begins breaking down its lean muscle mass for fuel and the person not only looks thin but ravaged."
Lohan was also pap-snapped at 6 a.m. on Monday morning heading into Chace Crawford’s apartment, but apparently the Gossip Girl star and LiLo are just friends.
"Lindsay is in a really bad place and refuses to believe anything is wrong," said our source, adding that one of the reasons she and Sam are still together is that Ronson has in the past reportedly threatened to write a tell-all book if they break-up. Friends and family have reportedly been putting pressure on Lohan to have her lover sign a confidentiality agreement as a true testament to her honesty.
So while things don’t seem to be looking too lavish in Lohan’s personal life, we hear her leggings line is doing just fine even despite the grave economic times.
"They are doing really well and selling off the shelves," a rep at Los Angeles boutique Kitson confirmed to Tarts. "Lindsay came out with the right item at the right time and the right price point for her fans. And of course it helps that she’s wearing her label all the time."

Late last year, Adrienne Bailon hit headlines when steamy snaps from her stolen laptop started circulating the internet in what turned out to be a p.r. stunt gone wrong.
"After the laptop was stolen we used it as an opportunity to drum up some publicity and started speculating about nude photos, but we never expected anything to get out," her (former) friend and publicist told Tarts at the time.
But at that point, Bailon was still under contract with Disney girl group the "Cheetah Girls" and subsequently the popular performers were suddenly axed from the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, but despite the negative press it seems former Cheetah Girl Kiely Williams is encouraging young fans to learn from Bailon’s blunder.
"We are human. I think the most important thing that we can tell our fans is not only learn from our accomplishments, but also from our mistakes," Williams told Tarts at the launch of the Afro Samurai video game in Hollywood last week. "And if anything, that makes us better role models because we're human and not afraid to mess up every now and then."
(But even so, we aren’t so sure how close these songstresses are as they didn’t even know they would both be attending the same bash.) And now that she's free from the Disney reigns, Bailon is getting ready to make it big.
"I'll be doing some amazing stuff in New York and I’ll probably be moving back to New York where I'm from and you’ll be seeing lots of me," the 25-year-old (who dates Robert Kardashian) said.
And just for the record, Kim Kardashian won’t be her sister-in-law anytime soon.
"I think we're really young and just having fun," Adrienne added. "It's too much pressure, I'm not ready yet!"
Ashley Dupre Crashes Fashion Week, Paris Hilton Is A Fraud
Former N.Y. Governor Eliot Spitzer isn’t the only one to have lost his job due to his "association" with Ashley Dupre. Leading fashion public relations company People’s Revolution were also fired on-the-spot this weekend by designer Yigal Azrouël after the call girl was given front-row treatment at his runway show.
Tarts has been told that Azrouël - who’s philosophy is to create empowering clothes for strong, influential women - was "disgusted" that Dupre was even there let alone seated in the prestigious front-row. According to People’s Revolution founder Kelly Cutrone however, Dupre wasn’t actually invited to the show, but she didn’t want to turn her away. (Mind you, Cutrone and Dupre are actually semi "friends" and reportedly met a while back when Dupre was looking for a publicist).
"We’re all hookers in one way or another," Cutrone told WWD while defending herself in the incident.
Meanwhile, Paris Hilton caused a little controversy at the Jill Stuart show on Monday when she arrived sporting a very large black configuration on her right shin. The hotel hottie has always been a big advocate of not getting tattoos and once told Tarts that one of the reasons guys were attracted to her was because she was she ink-free and "pure."
But fear not - Miss Hilton is still oh-so-innocent. We’re told by an insider that it’s just a temporary design she had done for the occasion. Also spotted sitting front-row was little sis Nicky, Amanda Bynes, Michelle Trachtenberg and Jessica Stroup.
