SAN ANTONIO – Emergency personnel treated a 2-year-old girl who fell from a third-story window at a San Antonio apartment complex.
The San Antonio Express-News reported Monday that the child, whose name was not released, was conscious and responsive following the accident.
The girl was crying as paramedics arrived to treat her late Sunday.
Authorities believe the child pushed out a screen and fell through the window, landing on a grassy area. She was transported to a San Antonio hospital. Her condition was not immediately available early Monday.
Neighbor Eric Ehninger says he heard a "thump," looked outside and saw the girl stand up and begin to cry. He says the window screen was under the youngster.
