A bank security camera captured images of an unknown couple using the ATM card of a New York college freshman who vanished 10 days ago.
Police hope the video may be their first break in the disappearance of Erica Desai, 19.
The St. John's University freshman was last seen in the New York City borough of Queens on Jan. 20.
The school recently suspended Desai for using the credit card of a roommate, police sources told the New York Post.
She had also posted online messages about wanting to run away, the paper reported.
Her family, who says they were unaware of Desai's problems, has traveled to New York to join the search after news emerged that the missing student's bank card was recently used at a Manhattan ATM, according to MyFOXNY.com.
Footage from the bank's surveillance camera shows images of an unidentified man and woman making the transaction.
Desai is 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighs approximately 120 pounds. She was wearing a blue blazer, green jumpsuit and black shoes when she disappeared.
She was last seen about 10:35 p.m. EST Jan. 20 in the area of Union Turnpike and Utopia Parkway in Queens.
The NYPD is asking for the public's help in finding Desai. Anyone with any information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or text tips to CRIMES (274637), then enter TIP577.
