Some thieves in Liverpool must have had loving on their minds.

The bandits ran off with $3,914 in sex toys Tuesday from a Nice 'n' Naughty adult sex-shop van parked in Liverpool's city center, the U.K. Bolton News reported Thursday.

Thieves struck the van around 6:30 p.m., according to the paper. The toys — 36 in all — plus 18 tubs of chocolate body paint and 12 blow-up dolls were headed for Bolton in the north of England just in time for Valentine's Day.

"The race is now on to import dozens of sex toys and blow-up dolls from our suppliers in Amsterdam," said Simon Prescott, the director of Nice 'n' Naughty. "The business is extremely busy at the moment and it is crucial we get this stock replaced as quickly as possible, particularly as Valentine's Day is fast approaching."

Along with the dolls, chocolate and toys, the thieves grabbed an iPod and satellite navigation system.

But Prescott tried to quell any customer worry from the blow up with a promise.

"We are committed to our customers and I will ensure these shelves are filled as soon as possible," he said. "We will make sure we do not let anyone down."
