A New York City emergency medical technician reportedly has been fired for posting a photo of a murder victim on his Facebook page.
EMT Mark Musarella, 46, was terminated by Richmond University Medical Center in Staten Island, N.Y., after officials found out about the photo of Caroline Wimmer on Facebook, local media reported.
Officials did not confirm to FOX 5 in New York that the posting was the reason for his dismissal, according to MyFOXNY.com.
Wimmer was found strangled to death in her apartment by her parents on March 30.
Her mother and father told FOX 5 that the posting of their dead daughter's photo was horrifying.
The Staten Island District Attorney's office is investigating and would not comment further.
