An attorney for Kevin Federline says the ex-husband of Britney Spears has no plans to pursue an investigation into toddler Jayden James’ recent trip to a Louisiana hospital, E! Online is reporting.

“I don’t anticipate a hearing,” Mark Vincent Kaplan told E! News.

He added that as far as he and Federline knew, Jayden’s trip to the hospital was most likely the result of a food allergy.

We’re pleased that someone was aware enough to see that he was having some sort of reaction and do what was necessary to make sure there were no chances taken and got Jayden to the appropriate facility and got the appropriate evaluation to be timely,” E! quoted Kaplan as saying.

Spears’ and Federline’s son was rushed to the emergency room Sunday night during the first trip out of California for the Spears boys with their mother since Federline was awarded full custody, E! said.

Federline was notified immediately of the situation. Jayden was released Monday evening, E! said.

“Kids get hurt. Kids get sick. Kids fall down, and by definition it’s their duty to do things that they’re not supposed to do. They’re kids,” Kaplan told E!
