The maker of the chilling Hillary "1984" Web-site ad, which sparked a media feeding frenzy to find its creator after the initial anonymous posting, at one time lived with a member of Barack Obama’s staff, according to an Internet report.
A photo posted on Rawstory.com shows Ben LaBolt, Obama’s press secretary, with Philip de Vellis, the creator of the "1984" ad. The two lived together last year in Ohio while working on the successful Senate campaign of then Rep. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, according to the news outlet.

The ad sparked controversy on the campaign trail after its anonymous March 5 posting on YouTube, the user-generated video Web site. De Vellis, who was working at Blue State Digital at the time the ad appeared, later admitted in a Huffington Post blog that he was the sole producer.
Obama’s campaign has denied any knowledge of or involvement with the ad since its first appearance. In response to the latest possible link, LaBolt told the Chicago Sun-Times: "The Obama campaign and its employees had no knowledge and had nothing to do with the creation of the ad."
