Pop Tarts: Kellie Pickler Encourages Young Girls to Hold On to Their 'Innocence'

LOS ANGELES – With her bottle-blonde hair and breast implants, one could argue that Kellie Pickler comes across as the "naughty little minx" that Simon Cowell once called her during the fifth season of "American Idol." But the country crooner is upholding a moral ground on her upcoming album by encouraging young girls to maintain their "innocence" for as long as possible.

"I need to sing about real things that I relate to and are part of me and my life, I think it's important to keep it real," Pickler told us in reference to her self-titled album which debuted at number one on the country charts last week. "The first time people hear 'Don’t You Know You’re Beautiful,' they always think I’m singing about outer beauty but its so much more deep than that. My favorite verse is the second verse which goes: ‘Hey there little homecoming queen in that back seat, I bet his brown eyes are promising you everything and I know you want to be just like your friends. But he’ll still love you if you don’t give in, but if those girls were being honest that have been where you’re at, I bet they’ll tell you they wish they had their innocence back.’"

So for all the young women out there who look up to Pickler as their "Idol", she has a few words of wisdom …

"Hold onto that innocence because it is so beautiful and cherish it because its priceless — and once it's gone, you cant get it back," she said. "I think it's important for all women, young girls as well as adults to love what you see when you look in the mirror, to love your heart."

Pickler also poured her own heart out about her USO tour through Iraq last Christmas, where she spent several weeks entertaining Coalition troops.

"It was the most incredible thing I had ever done in my entire life, it was so life changing just being able to take a little piece of home to the men and women that are serving our countries," the 22-year-old said. "I think the most incredible thing that I took from it was the knowledge of all the great things that they are doing like providing pure drinking water, homes, helping clean up the streets, helping build a civilized government, school supplies - it’s incredible. These are the things that are never capitalized on and they never give credit and talk about. It was so great to go there and build those relationships with the soldiers, shake hands and give hugs and try to get their minds off of things. It was by far the most amazing thing I had ever done and I am very excited and happy to say that I am going back next year."

David Beckham is gracing glossies and billboards across the world as the err, "face" of Giorgio Armani's underwear campaign, however Tarts confirmed murmurs that fellow sports-sensation Tom Brady passed on a similar opportunity.

Earlier this year, Brady was in negotiations with Calvin Klein to front their upcoming campaign, but we’re told the NFL Quarterback felt too uncomfortable exposing himself and pulled the plug at the last minute. Perhaps knowing how many millions of men and women have seen his girlfriend (former "Victoria's Secret" Angel Gisele Bundchen) in next-to-nothing scared him away.

But let’s hope the injured Patriot isn’t too embarrassed to make a cameo in the next season of the hit HBO series "Entourage" now that he has some spare time on his hands. Although the fifth season has already been shot, fellow Boston-born boy (and the show’s producer) Mark Wahlberg has Brady down for the sixth season.

"Tom's available, we're definitely going to get him in there at some point. He's a big fan of the show and we've had some amazing cameos this year, Martin Scorsese will be appearing, Gus Vansen, Jason Patrick, Martin Landau is coming back and quite a few new ones," Wahlberg told Tarts while promoting his new hard-core thriller "Max Payne".

But speaking of Grenier, Connelly, Piven and the pack, Wahlberg also added that these Hollywood boys are basically wusses.

"None of them are tough so I tell them to try to talk their way out of fights," he said. "Or get a gun, but none of them are tough."

Idol Update: Simon Kicks Paula, Judges Getting Peeved

Season eight of "American Idol" is well under way with the four judges and host Ryan Seacrest stopping off in Kansas City last weekend to hear the good, the bad and ugly. But it seems Simon Cowell is causing more craziness than the contestants.

"Simon is being an angry brat," Randy Jackson told us. "It's because he can't vote, that's what it's about, he can't vote."

But Simon's excuse for being down has a little more to do with talent — or lack their of.

"I don't know how much longer I can do this, seriously. No big blow ups, but I'm just a bit frustrated," Cowell said. "We're grumpy, they're not very good, and you’re allowed to show that."

But Randy and the "Idol" wannabes aren't the only ones suffering from Simon's soppy moods.

"This has been a long tour for us or it feels like it's been a very long one. I think I might lose my mind. It's taking a break with Simon, everytime we have a break I get hives all over me," Paula Abdul added. "He kicks me and I'll go, 'Is that meant for Kara because I'll trade seats.' He kicks me or he'll nudge me and I'll be like, 'Why are you doing that to me?' and he goes, 'It's fun.'"
