Cops in Houston are sifting through the rubble of a hotel that was imploded over the weekend to investigate the possibility of a person being trapped inside the building, the Houston Chronicle reported Thursday.

Police received a tip this week that someone may have been in the building when the Houston Crowne Plaza was imploded Sunday. A home video of the implosion is being reviewed by authorities, the Chronicle reported.

"We got a lead that someone might have sneaked into the building before the implosion and might have been there when it imploded," Houston police spokesman John Cannon, told the Chronicle. "It's too early to tell if that's true."

The hotel was demolished to make way for the Texas Children’s Maternity Hospital, which is scheduled to open its doors in 2010, the Chronicle reported.
