VINELAND, N.J. – An 8-year-old boy brought a loaded pistol to his Long Island, N.Y. school, MyFoxNY.com reported.
The boy's teacher took the gun from the desk and gave it to the assistant principal after hearing the child talking about it.
It is unclear why the third-grader brought the gun to school, but authorities believe it came from his home.
The child was charged with criminal possession of a weapon as a juvenile.
