Israeli police arrested a 24-year-old woman Tuesday for pretending to be a male army officer for more than five years.

The Reuters news agency reported the woman went to last summer's war in Lebanon and joined an artillery battery located near the front lines because it made her “feel good.”

“She will undergo psychological tests and the investigation is continuing," Micky Rosenfeld, a police spokesman, told Reuters. "It's something we haven't dealt with before."

According to the report, the woman had also visited army bases throughout the country dressed in an officer's uniform and carrying a replica M-16 assault rifle that had been bought from a store.
