PHILADELPHIA – A bus crash in Philadelphia has sent several people to the hospital.
The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority bus crashed head-on into a support pole for the Market-Frankford elevated train line.
Service on the elevated line was not affected, but the intersection was closed to traffic.
The crash happened around 3 p.m. Thursday in North Philadelphia.
SEPTA spokeswoman Sylvana Hoyos says seven people have reported injuries. She says the extent of their injuries isn't immediately known.
Hoyos says a van was also involved in the accident but investigators are still piecing together exactly what happened.
