The Minnesota Twins' (search) latest giveaway idea is drawing criticism from anti-war groups.

The Twins plan to distribute a GI Joe (search) action figure at Monday night's game against the Kansas City Royals (search). The first 5,000 children at the game will get a nearly four-inch high action figure called Duke.

The Twins say the promotion is a way to honor local military personnel.

But groups such as Veterans for Peace (search), Friends for a Non-Violent World (search) and Women Against Military Madness (search) object to the giveaway and are asking the Twins to cancel it.
