NEW YORK – Paul Rudd and Bradley Cooper will be Julia Roberts' co-stars when the actress opens on Broadway in a revival of Richard Greenberg's "Three Days of Rain."
The play, directed by Joe Mantello, begins preview performance March 28 at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre and opens April 19. Its 12-week engagement ends June 18.
Rudd is known to TV audiences as Lisa Kudrow's husband on the last two seasons of "Friends," but he has extensive theater credits, including Nicholas Hytner's acclaimed Lincoln Center production of "Twelfth Night" and "The Last Night of Ballyhoo" by Alfred Uhry on Broadway. He has appeared in such movies as "Anchorman" and "The 40-Year-Old Virgin."
Cooper currently appears on the FOX television series "Kitchen Confidential" and has had roles on such TV shows as "Alias," "The Street" and "Jack and Bobby," and has appeared in such movies as "The Wedding Crashers" and "Changing Lanes."
Roberts, an Academy Award winner for her title role in the film "Erin Brockovich," will be making her Broadway debut in "Three Days of Rain." The play, which features three actors portraying multiple characters, originally was done by Manhattan Theatre Club in 1997. It concerns two interlocking stories taking place in different decades and how parents can affect the lives of their children.
