A $200,000 reward is being offered for the return of paintings by Chagall, Diego Rivera and other masters that were stolen from a San Fernando Valley home.

Los Angeles police say Tuesday the nine paintings were taken from an Encino home during a daylight burglary on Aug. 23.

The owners are offering the reward for information leading to the recovery of the artwork and the capture of the crooks.

Art experts say the paintings may be worth millions, but it would be difficult for thieves to sell them without proof of their authenticity.
