Well, you might have heard once or twice something about FOX launching a business network. And yes, it's bright and early Monday morning. And yes, we are up against enormous odds.
We won't be in a ton of homes and we won't have a ton of people. But I know something about enormous odds — in life and in business.
The channel you're watching now was up against enormous odds. But as my boss Roger Ailes reminded me then — through all my frightful fits when I worried I was doomed for the Witness Protection Program — viewers have a way of finding programming worth finding.
I hope and trust with FOX Business Network, they will — you will.
So many have asked me who is my audience and what is my demographic. As our fearless leader Kevin MaGee once nicely put it: "Everybody."
You — all of you.
Not a select few or chosen few or learned few. Not just brokers and hedge fund managers. But moms and dads, college students and their parents paying the bills.
We're not arrogant enough to say we have all the answers. But we're interested enough to promise we will ask all the questions — in English.
Jack Welch once told me that no challenge is so great that great people can't meet it. I'm biased, but I think we have some great people.
You deserve that. Because it's in your very DNA to want to do better. And it is in our DNA to make sure you do.
