A Long Island airport employee is accused of hiding a video camera in the women's bathroom so he could spy on co-workers.

A female airport worker says the camera was concealed in late July and early August in a potted plant in a restroom used by employees, passengers and pilots.

The camera was found at the Mattituck Aviation Corp. facility Aug. 13.

The small airport is on Suffolk County's North Fork peninsula, near the Long Island Sound. Its parent company is Mobile, Ala.-based Teledyne Continental Motors.

Teledyne's president says an investigation was launched and the man suspected of planting the camera is no longer an employee.

The man was charged Monday with felony unlawful surveillance, punishable by up to four years in prison upon conviction.
