WESTMORELAND, N.H. – A Westmoreland, N.H., man has been charged with slashing a neighbor with a machete.
Police say 52-year-old Winfred Savard was wounded Friday afternoon. Fifty-four-year-old David Crockett has been charged with second-degree assault.
Jacqueline Romero, owner of the Westmoreland Village Store, said Savard came into the store, bleeding, saying he had been hit with a machete and asking for the police.
Romero told The Keene Sentinel Savard was bleeding from the back of his shoulder and rib cage.
