A Long Island man is under arrest after police say he let his 10-year-old son drive a car in a parking lot and the boy crashed into another car.

No one was injured in the crash, which happened Wednesday night in a convenience store parking lot in Selden.

Suffolk police say Craig Griffith let his 10-year-old son drive while his 9-year-old nephew was in the back seat.

Police say the boy crashed into an occupied car, and the father then moved into the driver's seat and fled.

Griffith was arrested Thursday night and charged with reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of a child.
