A New York mother was arrested after allegedly kicking her two young daughters out of the family car and then driving away Sunday evening.

Madlyn Primoff, 45, was apparently fed up with her 10- and 12-year-old girls fighting when she told her children to get out of the car, the younger girl told police. The older girl ran after the car and apparently caught up and was allowed back in, LoHud.com reports.

A passerby who saw the little girl crying bought her ice cream and called the police.

Primoff was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor, when she went to White Plains police headquarters with her husband and older daughter to pick up her little girl, LoHud.com reports.
