A woman gave birth to a healthy baby hours after jumping out of and being run over by her own car, it is reported by the Daily Mail.

Lucy Brake, 27, of Henley-on-Thames, England, was waiting in her car when it was hit by a freight truck.

The eight-and-a-half-months pregnant woman was forced to jump from her car, which was being dragged by the truck. In the process, she was caught by the open door and pushed under the car's wheels, according to the report.

The car ran-over Brake's legs and pelvis, but she suffered just bumps and bruises.

"I remember being terrified about my baby," the new mother told the Daily Mail. "I was screaming in the street, making sure people knew I was pregnant.".

She was rushed to the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading where they delivered a healthy 7-pound, 2-ounce baby girl named Amelia.
