"Hannah Montana" star Miley Cyrus denied a report Monday that she's trying to get fired from the Disney TV show that made her famous.

"I am fully committed to 'Hannah Montana.' It's what gave me this amazing opportunity to reach out to so many people," Cyrus told FOXNews.com through her representative.

"I'm really excited about our new season. We are making great new episodes that I can't wait for our fans to see and I'm looking forward to the 'Hannah Montana' movie that will be out in the spring."

Miley, 15, has bragged that she will get fired, making it clear she wants to focus on singing and not the show, sources told TMZ.com.

The starlet and her father, country music star Billy Ray Cyrus, have been showing up late to the "Hannah Montana" set, stalling production and infuriating cast and crew, the Web site says.

Billy Ray has told people on the set that he and Miley will do 12 more episodes and then they are out, sources told TMZ.

But Disney insisted that Billy Ray and Miley not only finish the 24-episode season, but an additional six episodes, according to the Web site.
