MARQUETTE, Mich. – The discovery of oil apparently leaking from a freighter has forced officials to close the Lower Harbor in Marquette.
The U.S. Coast Guard was notified of the leak Monday morning. WLUC-TV reports the freighter was moored in the harbor.
The Coast Guard and the state Department of Environmental Quality planned to work to clean up the spill.
