Man Found Hanging From Tree Along Busy Nevada Highway

GARDNERVILLE, Nev. – The Douglas County sheriff's office in Nevada is investigating the death of a man found hanging from a cottonwood tree along a busy highway.

Authorities say several motorists saw the body as they drove along U.S. 395 near Holbrook Junction south of Gardnerville early Tuesday.

A passer-by reported the death.

Authorities say the 55-year-old man was staying with friends in a nearby home.

His name was withheld pending notification of relatives.

An investigation was continuing.
