Montana Highway Patrol officers arrested a Great Falls man, who they believe rolled his truck while trying to impress his kids.

They allege the man was drunk when he drove to the Highway Patrol office to discuss the crash.

William Olson appeared in court Wednesday on the DUI charge — his fourth — and other charges related to the truck incident Sunday.

It's alleged that 38-year-old Olson was driving in a Toyota 4Runner with his four children, ranging in age from 3 to 13. The patrol says he turned onto a gravel road, sped up and pulled the emergency break, trying to make the vehicle spin. Olson told police he was trying to impress the kids.

Instead, the vehicle rolled. Court documents say the children were not in safety seats, and received minor injuries.
