A Tennessee man is crediting the switch to digital television with saving his life.
Robert Monsarrat was watching television in his kitchen on the only one that had a converter box Friday when a tree came crashing down in his bedroom — where he would've normally been.
"I couldn't watch it in the bedroom because I didn't have a box in there normally if I had a box I'd have been in my bedroom," Monsarrat told MyFOXMemphis.
Monsarrat suffered several cuts on his arm, but he told the station, "it could have been a lot worse, put it that way, a lot worse."
