LEXINGTON PARK, Md. – The St. Mary's Sheriff's Office says a man who called 911 repeatedly and after he was warned to stop has been arrested.
Fifty-year-old Ralph Tawney Jr. of Lexington Park has been charged with telephone misuse.
Deputies say Tawney call the sheriff's office and 911 nine times in a two-and-a-half hour period on Sunday to report alleged illegal activity. A deputy visited Tawney's house and told him not to call again unless he had a crime to report.
Authorities say Tawney called 911 less than half an hour after the deputy left.
