Tulsa police have arrested a man for public intoxication after finding him "huffing" — or inhaling — compressed gas inside a Wal-Mart bathroom.

Police say an officer found 20-year-old Jerrod Greer in a restroom stall with a handgun on his lap about 2:30 a.m. Monday and the store was evacuated. Police say the officer talked Greer into putting the gun on the floor but that he continued inhaling the compressed gas.

He was then arrested on complaints of resisting arrest, consuming an intoxicant in public and larceny from a retailer.

Police Capt. Brett Bailey says the handgun turned out to be a pellet gun.
