Louisiana State University Student Arrested for Alleged Threat to Kill Hillary Clinton
BATON ROUGE, La. – A Louisiana State University student was arrested on Friday after allegedly telling a fellow student he would kill Sen. Hillary Clinton when she visits Baton Rouge this weekend.
Richard Ryan Wargo, 19, is being held on a $1 million bond on counts of terrorizing, communicating false information of planned arson, simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Clinton, a 2008 presidential candidate, is scheduled to be in Baton Rouge on Saturday to give a speech at the National Conference of Black Mayors.
The arrest warrant for Wargo doesn't not mention the mayors' conference, or give a specific day or time when the threat might be carried out.
Wargo's classmate told an LSU police officer about the threat, according to the warrant.
