The Ford Fusion, Mercury Milan and Lincoln MKZ all get heavily updated interiors and exterior styling that has a lot more flair than before; the big grilles on the Fusion and MKZ making a particular impression.
Under the hood the Fusion offers a choice of 2.5-liter 4-cylinder, 3.0-liter 6-cylinder or 3.5-liter 6-cylinder engines, while the Milan settles for the first two and the MKZ can only be had with the big engine producing 263 horsepower.
More important these days are the hybrid versions of the Fusion and Milan. The first gas-electric sedans from the automaker feature potent new batteries that can power the cars up to 47 miles per hour on electric alone when fully charged.
With an expected fuel economy rating of 38 mph city, both the Fusion and Milan hybrids get 5 mpg more than the Toyota Camry Hybrid.
