Jessica Simpson's days as a country-music singer look to be over.

The blonde beauty, 28, is no longer with Sony Nashville.

But a rep for Simpson told FOXNews.com Tuesday that “Jessica is and has always been an Epic artist. She was on loan to Sony Nashville for her country album. She continues to be on Epic’s label.”

The Nashville rumor-mill was all abuzz Tuesday with claims the that pop-princess turned country-singer had been dropped by her record label.

While her country debut "Do You Know" opened at Number One, it sold less than 200,000 copies.

The singer’s information – including her artist bio and page — is no longer available on Columbia Nashville or Sony Nashville Web sites.

Rumors have been flying for months that Joe Galante, the head of Sony BMG Nashville was fed up with Simpson forgetting her lyrics and crying on stage during her tour with Rascal Flatts.

The blonde beauty was also mysteriously absent from the Academy of Country Music awards Saturday, reportedly taking a trip with friends to Cabo instead.
