GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip – An Israeli airstrike targeted a car Sunday night carrying Hamas militants near Gaza City, wounding five people, including an 8-year-old girl, the army and Palestinian health officials said. None of the injuries was life threatening.
The army said the five militants escaped from the car. The vehicle was filled with explosives, which led to a series of large secondary explosions, the army said.
Hamas officials confirmed that the vehicle was filled with explosives.
