In an article about Fox News Channel in Friday's New York Times, the paper quotes Erik Sorenson, the president of rival news network MSNBC, as saying Fox News Channel viewers are "older and more downmarket" than those of its competition (to read the full text of the article, click here). He likened the network to the "World Wrestling Federation" of news.

We at Fox News are hesitant to make such sweeping generalizations about a group as varied and widespread as our audience, but were nevertheless wondering whether you -- our viewers -- consider yourselves 'old' and 'downmarket.'
