Lisa Wu Hartwell Gets Down to Business

iMag: What are your three business tips for aspiring entrepreneurs?

Lisa:

1. Get as much information as possible on your career choice. Research and network with those that are in the same field.

2. Try to get a mentor or an internship if possible. Hands on experience is invaluable.

3. Set goals, write them down, and execute.

iMag: How did you get started as a businesswoman?

Lisa: I started conducting business at an early age. I would negotiate wages, per diems, wardrobe, etc. for concerts that my sister and I would dance in. I think I was just born this way. I realized early on that I didn't like working for anyone and that I wanted to have a job that I was passionate about.

iMag: How do you juggle your career and family?

Lisa: I'm blessed with a supportive husband and a great team. All of my family members and my daytime nanny (Mimi) help us to achieve our goals. Our companies are all family oriented. I'm very thankful and blessed.

Kim Zolciak Dishes on Dating

iMag: What are your three dating rules for single moms?

Kim:

1. Your children should always be first.

2. If the kids don't like him, leave him.

3. Be true to who you are and always love yourself first.

iMag: Why is it so important to keep your relationship private on the show?

Kim: I have watched numerous reality TV shows and most couples ended in divorce — Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey, Carmen Electra and Dave Navarro, Travis Barker and Shanna Moakler, etc. I wanted to keep this part of my life private, because it is. It's important to my children and I that my relationship stays sacred. He is incredible to my children as well as myself. It was MY decision to keep him as a secret. I am not ready to share him with the world. He is a high profile.... wish I would tell you, huh? Maybe sooner than later he will be revealed but that time won't come until I feel comfortable and strong enough in my relationship to do so.

iMag: What advice do you have for someone pursuing a career in entertainment?

Kim: DONT READ THE BLOGS!! Chase your dreams, anything and everything is attainable. Don't worry about the people in your past, there is a reason they didn't make it into your future. Where there is a will there is a way, follow your heart. Lastly remember who you WERE before you became who you are. Your roots will always be the most important relationship in your life.
