A man who twice killed someone while driving drunk has been ordered to spend 14 years in prison in the latest death.

William Sprind, 37, of West Frankfort, Ill., was sentenced Monday in Franklin County Circuit Court in Benton.

A judge found him guilty last month of aggravated driving under the influence.

Authorities say Sprind was driving drunk in January 2007 when his vehicle crossed into the path of an oncoming car occupied by Myrtle Holt and her husband. Holt died.

Twenty years ago, Sprind also was convicted of a reckless homicide and DUI for causing a crash that killed another woman.

His probation in that case was later revoked, and he served prison time.
