Two children missing since Thursday and feared abducted have been found unharmed, Coeur d'Alene police said Monday.

Sgt. Christie Wood said 4-year-old Tatiana Seibert and her cousin 5-year-old Ford Ware were found with family members at a campsite late Monday morning.

The man police suspected of abducting the children, John Marc Thompson, was found driving through Bonner County in a vehicle by himself. He was taken into custody on outstanding warrants from six other states, Wood said.

The apparent abduction was a bizarre case involving a group of transients caravanning across Idaho, Wood said.

Tatiana's mother, Yvonne Seibert, told police that the children were in Thompson's car while the rest of the Seibert and Ware families followed in other vehicles. The group planned to meet at a Sandpoint campsite on Thursday evening, Seibert said, but instead of turning north in Coeur d'Alene, Thompson continued to drive east, losing the other vehicles.

Family members drove to Sandpoint to try to meet Thompson and the kids, Seibert said, and when he never arrived, they returned to Coeur d'Alene to look for him there.

Police issued an Amber Alert (search) for the children on Friday, noting that Ford's parents, Jennifer Anderson and Les Ford were also missing, along with their other children.

Anderson and Les Ford and all the children were in custody, Wood said.
