'I Had an Abortion' T-Shirt?

Two of our summer interns at "DaySide" brought this to my attention: Did you know that if you go to Planned Parenthood's Web site and click on their "Store", you will find for sale a $15.00 T-shirt that says on the front, "I had an abortion"?

Here's what PP says in the caption below the picture of the T-shirt:

"Planned Parenthood is proud to offer yet another T-shirt in our social fashion line... this soft and comfortable fitted tees assert a powerful message in support of women's rights."

Wow.

What do you think about that?

I will be pondering that little item tonight, as I park myself on the sofa to watch the speeches of Al Gore, Hillary Clinton and Bill Clinton tonight (Jimmy Carter too) at the Democratic Convention.

Then Tuesday, DaySide will dissect the speeches... and cover the story about this T-shirt from Planned Parenthood.
