MORRISTOWN, N.J. – Police responding to a 911 call heard screams and saw through the window of a Mt. Arlington home a man repeatedly stab a woman.
Morris County prosecutors credit the quick-thinking officers with saving the 59-year-old woman's life. Anna Vanderbilt is in stable condition after being stabbed 17 times with an ice pick Sunday.
Her 62-year-old husband, Terry, is held on $500,000 bail, charged with attempted murder.
