Las Vegas man was arrested in a town south of Salt Lake City in connection with the death of his wife and another man he said broke into their home, authorities say.

Las Vegas police say Thomas William Randolph was arrested Thursday morning at his parents' home. The 53-year-old is charged with conspiracy to commit murder, murder with a deadly weapon and burglary.

A Clark County grand jury indicted Randolph this week. The indictment charges Randolph with killing his 57-year-old wife, Sharon Clausse Randolph, and a man he hired to kill her, Michael James Miller. Police say Randolph staged a home invasion in a plot to kill his wife for insurance money.

Randolph was booked into the Davis County Jail. He is being held without bail on a warrant from Clark County. He's expected to be extradited to Nevada.
