Hundreds Search for Missing Alabama Mom Who Disappeared During Work, but Find No Sign of Her

Hundreds turned out to search for a young Alabama mother who vanished more than two weeks ago during work, reported.

Nadia Kersh, 23, was last seen leaving her job at Tria Market Nov. 3 on what was believed to be a lunch break. Police were notified when she didn't pick up her son from day care.

Her car and purse were later found in west Birmingham. Detectives launched a criminal investigation into her disappearance.

Investigators enlisted the public's help in Thursday's search, assembling teams of volunteers to comb the Birmingham area.

Crews of 10 scoured the region, concentrating on the outskirts of Homewood and west Birmingham, according to

Various items of clothing, personal belongings and even a cell phone were discovered, but searchers found no sign of Kersh.

Rewards totaling about $36,000 are being offered for information in the case.
