SAO PAULO, Brazil – The Brazilian general commanding U.N. peacekeepers in Haiti has been found dead in the Haitian capital, the official news agency said Saturday.

Urano Teixeira da Mata Bacelar died Saturday morning after a "firearm accident," Brazilian Army Lt. Col. Fernando da Cunha Matos told Agencia Brasil.
