ANAHEIM, Calif. – A funeral service has been scheduled for this weekend in Brea for the Anaheim father and daughter brutally killed some two weeks ago.
Jayprakash Dhanak, 56, and his 20-year-old daughter Karishma will be mourned Saturday at Memory Garden Memorial Park and Mortuary.
Their burned bodies were found just hours after the family's home was set on fire and Karishma's mother was found badly beaten.
The ex-boyfriend of Karishma's 18-year-old sister Shayona Dhanak is being held as a "person of interest" in the incident.
Iftekhar Murtaza was arrested at Phoenix's Sky Harbor International Airport days after the bodies were found.
The 22-year-old waived his right to an extradition hearing and is due back in Orange County this week to face investigation in the case.
