ST. CHARLES, Mo. – A Chicago-area mother and her three children will be laid to rest Saturday in Missouri, as police and family members raise questions about her husband's claim that she shot him in the leg and then murdered their children before killing herself.
Kimberly Vaughn was found shot to death along with 12-year-old Abigayle, 11-year-old Cassandra and 8-year-old Blake. Their bodies were found in the family's SUV on a service road near Channahon, Ill., about 50 miles southwest of Chicago, MyFoxChicago.com reports.
Vaughn's husband, Christopher, claims his wife shot him in the thigh after he disclosed to her that he was having an affair., the Fox station reported.
Police, family and friends have their doubts.
