France has released a comprehensive – if not shocking – study: French women are more assertive than French men when it comes to sex; it is being reported by The Daily Telegraph.

According to the study, which was conducted by a research agency backed by the government, French women have more than twice as many partners as they did in the 1970s.

Even more shocking: One in five French men between the ages of 18 and 24 “has no interest in sex.”

The study conducted 12,000 in-depth interviews with individuals of both sexes and a variety of ages.

Bottom line: women are becoming more like men.

In 1970, the French woman had an average of less than two sexual partners in her lifetime. Today, she has more than five. In comparison, the French male still has an average of 13 lovers.

Women are also staying sexually active longer, the study said.

Nine out of 10 French women over the age of 50 is having sex.
