Fire Erupts at Black Eyed Peas Studio

BURBANK – A fire erupted at a Burbank recording studio early this morning where the hip-hop group Black Eyed Peas (search) were recording music.

Burbank Lieutenant John Dilibert says the fire was reported at 3:30, and was ignited by a cigarette that dropped on a couch.

Nobody was injured, and a few equipments were damaged.

The Black Eyed Peas were recording when somebody rushed into the studio to warn them of the fire. Band members say they initially thought it was a joke until they noticed heavy smoke.
